We are absolutely full to the brim with Cath Kidston right now…and we are not complaining…not one bit!

Its like a floral bomb…gorgeous new patterns, in fabulous colours…!

A new book bag to tuck my magazines in…yes please. A travel sewing kit…I’m not sure how I lived without it before? A zippy purse to keep my lippys in…makes my bag ever so organise!

Oh and of course a new make-up bag, my other one was ever so messy.

Yes, I have gone Cath Kidston crazy! But in the best way, suddenly it feels ever so spring like. I just need a bit of sunshine.

Hello our lovelies…!

We have been ever so busy with different things in the shop recently. Last week we went to Birmingham Spring Fair, we had a fantastic time. We have found some amazing handbags!! along with many other things! And cant wait for them to come into the shop!

We already have some of the new pottery being delievered and more of the bright side pottery…they have some amazing new egg cups added to the range, which we snapped up and we have them coming into the shop too…Brilliant wedding or new home presents!

It was like a mission for us to get to birmingham, the snow fell heavily on the Saturday, so sunday morning we woke up to a winter wonderland and had to wade through the snow like real troppers to get onto the main road to make it to the show!

So anyway, after a brief fill in of Birmingham we are now moving on to spring. The shop is filled with lovely new stock…and so for spring!

In Hawkshead we have LOTS of new Cath Kidston, a lovely new clothing make…gorgeous new pottery and lots of lovely Easter decorations! and thats jut the start! 

Below I have added a lovely recipe for Hot Cross Buns from BBC…get in some practice for Easter, and have a lazy sunday…then eat them hot with butter and a brew in the afternoon…!!

We are off buying for the shop this weekend and the beginning of next week, so as we get organised… we thought we would check in to the blog and let you all know!

Its very exciting to do the buying in Spring, its my favourite…! After what feels like a long cold winter, all we want to do is get ourselves to Spring fair to buy some goodies to put that sunny smile on our faces!

We shall report back next week and hopefully have some amazing products to show you and be very giddy over.

Well we are already getting excited for spring here at Poppi Red!

We had a fantastic show in London last week looking for amazing new products! And we have a got a lovely collection coming into the shops shortly…!

This week we are getting very organised for Birmingham Spring Fair, and we are looking to bring you some fantastic new goodies! So as we feel so ahead with Spring we have been injecting little bits of spring time into the stores…even if it does feel a little early for us!

First we have a cute little tip for you. Hopefully some of you out there have a milkman, who brings you glass bottles still (i do) so i have used one of those milk bottles, tied a lovely lace ribbon around the neck of the bottle and popped a handful of flowers into the bottle…

It looks so spring like, and we have a few of them lined up along the window of our shop!

Happy New Year!! Hope you all had a very sparkly fabulous New Year…and welcomed 2012 with a smile on New Years Eve, and if you were anything like us then probably with a headache and a day in our Cath Kidston pjs on New Years Day!!

So were there any Resolutions made? The poppi red girls have decided to that ours will be to live life everyday to its fullest, enjoy every slice of cake and every single impulse buy! No more resolutions that vow we shall go to the gym 3 times a week…that wasted, used once membership could be our Spring Summer Cath Kidston bag!

This year is going to be as fabulous as 2011, last year we may have had the Royal Wedding, which we loved every second of…(i still use my Royal Wedding mug,tea towel, and coaster daily) but this year, the Queens Jubilee and the Olympics! What celebrating we shall do! A very British 2012!

Now we are looking forward to our first Spring Summer show in 2 weeks time and bringing you some lovely new stock! We will report back on what we find and cant wait to tell you that we are unpacking the boxes of fabulous new things

Well can you believe it…its the 1st of December already!!

We are very excited for Christmas and have had our little chocolate out of the advent calendar already (which also included an excited dance)

This weekend is always ever so festive for us, as not only is the countdown for Christmas on, but we have Hawkshead Christmas Fair on our doorstep. How can we not indulge in Christmas when we have lovely Carol singers outside and the village is scattered in stalls selling Christmas crafts? Well we can’t not indulge…

If your not quite in the Christmas mood, why not pop over for the christmas fair, we promise it will throw you right into the swing of things.

Or possibly just join our very excited poppi red girls in the shops, some mulled wine in the cafe and a mince pie, or even spiced apple cake…a spot of christmas shopping to help fill up those stockings and have one of the girls gift wrap your goodies…

Good Morning, hope you have all had a cup of tea or coffee this morning, and your porridge. Your going to need it! We believe this is the true beginning of Autumn after our brief Indian Summer.

In preparation of the autumn days we have been tasting some lovely cakes for the cafe, including spiced apple cakes. So keep an eye out for a few changes to the cake menu in the coming months.

After seeing the beautiful cakes it even inspired me to go home and do some baking. So I experimented and came up with cinnamon and Nutella cake, which was lovely! (so you know, regular sponge cake, added a couple of teaspoons of cinnamon and then layered into a cake tin with huge spoons of Nutella and a few handfuls of Hazelnuts) Get you aprons on ladies, need a new one, get to Hawkshead, we have some fabulous Pip aprons in!

Can’t be bothered with the washing up…let us help you out, pop into our Hawkshead store, have a mug of frothy coffee, obviously a lovely big slice of cake and a mooch around our new autumn stock. We have in some lovely bits for those who are already keeping their eyes open for stocking fillers…i don’t mean to scare you, however it is only 82 sleeps till christmas.

Alice Hannah scarves, gloves and hats…which are absolutely gorgeous. Spoil yourself with a nice new winter set, or maybe save it for a lovely Christmas present for a loved one.

The Country Market range from Bath House is in stock in Windermere (we love the Cherry Kiss lip balm)

We also have a lovely Jewellery range in from Kate Hamilton Hunter in Windermere.The jewellery is made from old vintage biscuit tins, which Kate cuts into hearts or stars and makes into earrings and necklaces. its bloomin lovely.

Oh and of course, in Hawkshead there is the faux fur coats, they are stunning and fab for this autumn weather! Seriously get yourself over there to just give them a try on! I did!

Well the Christmas Tree is almost forgotten, just the odd pine needle to remind me and lots of family memories. So getting ready for a new laundry room. Totally inspired by all the wonderful laundry room items at my favourite store. Lots of Cath Kidston, Lavender laundry spray, peg bags, hanging rails ooooh where shall I start ??? I will keep you posted
